I bought a used Honda Gold Wing (metal) accessory, that clamps/ancors on the bar and then has a friction devise that acts as a drum break against a part that claps on the inside/bar end of the grip. I had to do some slight modification, but that was easy for me, being that I am a machinist. It works super. I can apply just the right amount of friction and still be able to move the throttle, but it will also stay where set. In an emergency a simple flick of the thumb release will disengage the break! I am spoiled now and wouldn't be without it.

There is another devise on the market that in essence is a throttle lever (made out of spring plastic). It wraps around and stays in place on the grip. Any pressure applied to it, in opening up the throttle makes it grip even the more tighter. It is not a break, but a mechanical advantage item to help hold the throttle, with less effort.
